Aaliyah Dana Haughton and Aarti Mann

Aaliyah Dana Haaughton gained prominence after the release of her first album Age Ain't Nothing More Than A Number in the year 1994. It was Gold in the year she turned just 15 years old. R. Kelly heavily influenced this collaboration, and helped to bring the artist to the forefront. In 1996 she worked together with Jermaine Dupri and Timbaland to release her second album One In A Million which contained the number-one hit single If Your Girl Could Only Know. Aaliyah received international recognition for her R&B vocals through this album. In 2000, she was on the screen in Romeo Must Die, a romance/action movie with Jet-Li. Joel Silver, a film producer at an award ceremony in which she was cast was able to spot her. The year 2002 was the time she was part of the Anne Rice-based movie about horror Queen of the Damned. In 2003, she appeared in The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions. She was nominated four times for the Grammy Awards, including 2001, 1999 and 2002. Aarti Mann.....................Aarti Mann also known as Aarti Majumdar is an American actor who is best known for her portrayal of Priya Koothrappali in the popular TV series The Big Bang Theory. She is the first generation Indian-American born and raised in Connecticut. Mann is her stage name. Mann is derived from her marriage name Mankad. Mann utilizes Aarti Man as well as Aarti Mahumdar for her official name. Her acting career started in the the mid 2000's, with a few appearances on television and in films. Some of her other notable work include Leverage 2012, Suits 2013, and Grey's Anatomy 2017. She's also appeared in major commercials of brands such as Volvo which is an international automobile producer. She is a resident of Los Angeles where she continues to perform as an actress.
